Discover the Heartbeat of Treme in New Orleans

You’re invited to enjoy city highlights that you might not otherwise discover, as we guide you through the heart of New Orleans’ rich history and culture. We begin our journey at the entrance of the iconic Louis Armstrong Park, where the stories of music, resilience, and community come to life. From there, we enter the sacred grounds of Congo Square—an essential site in African American history and the birthplace of many cultural traditions.

As we explore the park, you’ll encounter a variety of monuments, including the impressive 12-foot statue of Louis Armstrong himself, a tribute to the city’s jazz legacy. Our walking tour continues through the historic Faubourg Tremé neighborhood, where you’ll discover highlights that reflect the vibrant soul of the city—charming architecture, local art, and community landmarks.

Along the way, we’ll point out some of Treme’s most beloved and “do not miss” cuisine spots, offering recommendations that showcase the area’s culinary excellence. We end our tour at the renowned Lil Dizzy’s, a local favorite known for its warm hospitality and classic New Orleans dishes. This enchanting neighborhood, with its “Main Street USA” feel and ever-evolving heartbeat, is filled with small businesses and cultural gems that deserve a place on every visit to New Orleans.
